Transportation for Student Travel
Students who participate in school-sponsored trips shall be required to use transportation provided by the District to and from the event, except as otherwise permitted in administrative regulations.
The Board shall permit students to take in-state, out-of-state, out-of-country, or overnight school-sponsored trips with prior approval from the appropriate budget owner, with knowledge and concurrence of the Superintendent or designee, for the following:
Instructional purposes (field trips and excursions);
School-sponsored activities; and
The Superintendent or designee shall develop guidelines for students who are traveling for the purpose of school-sponsored activities.
Notice to Board
The Board shall be informed of approvals for international trips.
