DED(LOCAL) - COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS

Paid Vacation Days

Each full-time, nonexempt maintenance, grounds, and custodial employee shall receive paid vacation days per year as follows:

After one year of employment in the District, five paid vacation days per year shall be earned.

After ten years of employment in the District, ten paid vacation days shall be earned.

Vacation days shall be prorated based on the employment anniversary date and the time remaining in the employee's duty year.

Vacation days shall be noncumulative.

Use of vacation days shall require advance approval from the employee's immediate supervisor.

Upon any voluntary separation from employment, however, the District shall pay an employee for all available unused vacation days.

Holidays

Each full-time, nonexempt maintenance and custodial employee in a position normally requiring 12 months of service shall receive ten paid holidays per school year, according to a schedule determined by the Superintendent, after 90 days of employment in the District.

Each bus driver and cafeteria employee in a position normally requiring 12 months of service shall receive seven paid holidays per school year, according to a schedule determined by the Superintendent, after 90 days of employment in the District.
