EHAD(LOCAL) - BASIC INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM: ELECTIVE INSTRUCTION
Driver's education shall be offered to students who are at least 14 years of age at the time the class begins and who will be 15 years of age or older before the driver's education and traffic safety course ends. Students who are certified with a Texas driver's license may also enroll regardless of their age at the time the class ends. The course shall be scheduled and taught in compliance with State Board adopted essential elements. A tuition fee shall be charged. Driver's education shall be counted only as a local credit course.
Pass / Fail Courses
The District shall allow a student who wishes to take courses in excess of state and local requirements to take such courses on a pass/fail basis. The student shall declare intent to take the course on a pass/fail basis on the first day the course meets. Students who have a grade average of 70 or above shall be awarded credit, but pass/fail courses shall be excluded in computing the grade point average.
