FNB(LOCAL) - STUDENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: INVOLVEMENT IN DECISION MAKING
Student Perceptions Policy
Appraising the success of the District's instructional program is important. Only through an awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of the instructional program can the Board and Superintendent have a sound basis for making improvements. This student perceptions policy recognizes and supports student leadership and voice as paramount in establishing a thriving learning environment for each learner.
Periodically, students shall be asked to review the instructional program and District policies, rules, and regulations. Student perception data shall be gathered only for the purpose of improving the academic program and shall not be used to rate or evaluate teacher performance. Campuses may elicit student feedback through student government organizations, such as student council and the Scholar Board of Education, and through surveys, interviews, or panel discussions. Final authority for all decisions rests with the Board.
