New Facilities

A new facility shall be named according to the following guidelines:

Students, staff, and residents shall be encouraged to suggest names for a new facility.

Only the Board shall have the authority to name or rename a new or existing facility.

If a name recommendation is after a person, the Board will take into consideration the person's accomplishments, length of service to Brazosport ISD, community support, and campus support of the name.

Prior to formal action, a public hearing will be held to consider recommendations for names for a facility.

Name Changes

The name of an existing facility may be changed when the Board determines it is in the best interest of the District. In these circumstances, the District shall follow the same guidelines used to name new facilities.
