FG(LOCAL) - STUDENT AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
The District shall accept the responsibility for revenue donated to any community-sponsored student scholarship fund. The District shall make all deposits of revenue and issue all checks pertaining to the individual scholarship by following the same procedures for disbursing other school funds. All scholarship checks shall be sent to the college selected by the student.
The Superintendent may accept donations to the scholarship fund on behalf of the community organization that established the scholarship. The District's scholarship fund shall be subject to an annual audit.
The District shall permit community organizations to recommend scholarship recipients to District officials and in accordance with the appropriate administrative regulations. District personnel shall not discuss confidential student information.
The selection of scholarship recipients by the District shall be by a scholarship committee. Each scholarship candidate shall complete a scholarship application as part of the committee selection process.
