EIF(EXHIBIT) - ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: GRADUATION

The following exhibits are used by the District:

EXHIBIT A

GRADUATION PROGRAMS: CLASSES 2014 THROUGH 2017

Students are strongly encouraged to pursue the Advanced/Distinguished Achievement Program or the Recommended Program. The following credits must be earned for each program:

*Credit for physical education courses may be earned through participation in athletics, JROTC, or an appropriate private or commercially sponsored physical activity program for a maximum of 4 credits, or through participation in marching band, cheerleading, or drill team.

EXHIBIT B

GRADUATION PROGRAMS: CLASSES 2018 AND THEREAFTER

All District students must pursue the foundation program with an endorsement or the distinguished level of achievement on entering grade 9. The endorsement requirements are listed below the following chart.

+ A student must earn the distinguished level of achievement under the foundation program to be eligible for top ten percent automatic admission.

* Some designated courses will substitute for speech; those courses will be designated in the course description book.

** Credit for PE courses may be earned through participation in athletics, JROTC, marching band, cheerleading, drill team, or appropriate private or commercially sponsored physical activity programs for a maximum of 4 credits.

A student may graduate under the foundation high school program without an endorsement if, after the student's sophomore year, a committee including the student, the student's parent, and the school counselor determine that it is in the best interest of the student to bypass the benefits of graduating with an endorsement. A student served by an ARD committee may also graduate without an endorsement.

* Not all programs of study are available at all campuses.
