Safety Rules
The board may adopt rules for the safety and welfare of students, employees, and property and other rules it considers necessary to carry out Education Code Chapter 37, Subchapter D (Protection of Buildings and Grounds) and the governance of the district, including rules providing for the operation and parking of vehicles on school property. Identification and Right to Reject
Identification may be required of any person on school property. A school administrator, school resource officer, or district peace officer may refuse to allow a person to enter on or may eject a person from property under the district's control in accordance with Education Code 37.105. Education Code 37.105(a), (b) [See GKA]
Human Trafficking Warning Signs
Each public school shall post warning signs of the increased penalties for trafficking of persons under Penal Code 20A.02(b-1)(2) at the following locations:
- Parallel to and along the exterior boundaries of the school's premises;
- At each roadway or other way of access to the premises;
- For premises not fenced, at least every five hundred feet along the exterior boundaries of the premises;
- At each entrance to the premises; and
- At conspicuous places reasonably likely to be viewed by all persons entering the premises.
Education Code 37.086(b)
"Premises" means real property and all buildings and appurtenances pertaining to the real property. Health and Safety Code 481.134; Education Code 37.086(a)(1)
