EIC(REGULATION) - ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: CLASS RANKING
Weighting of Pre-AP, AP, and Dual Credit Courses
All Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credit courses will be weighted with an additional ten points for the year per course. Pre-AP courses will be weighted with an additional seven points per year per course. The calculations are performed automatically by the student accounting system.
Early College Students and Ranking
Students who attended the Clint Early College Academy may enroll in their home campus with the approval of both campus principals. Due to the nature of the program, students at the Clint Early College Academy may take up to 18 dual credit courses for a total of 54 college credit hours. These credits add the additional weight listed above. The comprehensive high school student may earn a total of 24 credits with the additional weight. The weight of an early college student and a comprehensive high school student will not be equal.
If an Early College student enrolls as a freshman, sophomore, or the first semester of his or her junior year, the rank will be conducted following the calculations of the student accounting system. Students must complete the last three semesters before graduation at the campus to be eligible for graduation honors associated with rank.
