FC(LOCAL) - SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AREAS
The Board shall, in cooperation with the Superintendent and his or her staff, develop and maintain a system of attendance areas with the District.
The determination of attendance areas shall be in accordance with state and federal regulations or laws, and court decisions applicable to the District.
The assignment of attendance areas shall be determined in such a manner as to provide the students of the District with the most convenient assignment possible, and still maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, or court decisions.
Due consideration shall be given to the development of an attendance area plan that will best serve the needs of the community at the most economical cost.
Requests by parents for a change in the student's attendance area assignment shall be made to the Superintendent. All such requests shall be viewed individually and decisions made based on the merits of each case. [See FE]
